Raiven Reyna presents research at the Bay Area Undergraduate Art History Symposium

Art History major Raiven Reyna is presenting her research at the Bay Area Undergraduate Art History Symposium at the University of San Francisco on April 20th.

"I got involved in the symposium through Dr. Ch'ien's recommendation. I took her Baroque class last semester (Fall 2023), and she suggested I further study and present my research on the subversion of Dutch seventeenth-century gender norms through Ferdinand Bol's The Crowning of Mirtillo. It's a great opportunity to present research to a different audience. It's honestly been really fun to be involved in an academic setting outside of school. I'm utilizing skills that I have been practicing in my classes. Still, it's been a different process but a welcome one."
